How to Submit CBAM Data in 5 Minutes

Follow these steps to quickly register and share your data with your client.

Step 1: Register Your Account

Navigate to portal.dubrink.com/register and sign up using the same email address that received the invitation. As a security measure, you will be asked to email us the name of the company that invited you to the platform.

Step 2: Complete Your Company Profile

Once registered, go to Settings → Profile Data. Enter your company's details. The platform is available in 27 languages to facilitate this process. A complete profile enhances clarity and trust with your clients.

Step 3: Receive and View the Data Request

After your account is created, your importer will send a formal CBAM data request through the Dubrink system. All incoming requests from your clients will appear in your inbox on the Dubrink portal. The image below is the Importer environment making a data request.

Step 4: Access Your Pending Requests

Click on the 'Data Request' tab in the menu on the left side of your screen. Here, you will see a list of all data requests, including those that require your action and those awaiting data from your sub-suppliers.

Step 5: Choose Your Data Source

Dubrink offers four flexible methods for providing your CBAM data:

  1. Platform Calculation: Calculate your emissions directly on the platform for free. This option may require some technical expertise.

  2. External Data: Upload data that has already been calculated by a consultant or your internal team.

  3. Connect Supplier: If the data must come from your supplier, you can forward the request to them through the platform.

  4. No Data Available: If you cannot provide specific data, you can select this option, which will use EU default values. Note that using default values is typically the least financially favorable option for your client.

For this guide, we will proceed with the 'External Data' option.

Step 6: Enter Your External Data

Most manufacturers will have their CBAM data prepared. Select ‘External Data’ and fill in the required fields.

Key reminders:

  • Always save your changes before proceeding.

  • Data must be entered at the specific process level.

  • All emissions data should be calculated per tonne of product, regardless of the final product's size or weight.

Step 7: Select the Correct Process

Open the data request, choose “External Data,” and select the correct process.

Step 8: Submit Your Data

After verifying the information is accurate, click the “Submit” button to send the completed request back to your client.

A Foundation for Future Business

Your data is now securely stored in the Dubrink system. From this point forward, whenever any of your clients request data for this same process, you can simply select the existing dataset and send it instantly. If your data changes, you can copy the process, add the new information, and you are ready to go.

This efficiency not only saves you valuable time but also positions you as a reliable and proactive partner in your clients' supply chains.
